  • Final grades are available on Testudo. The letter grades are based on the rule 90%+ A, 80%+ B, 70%+ C, 60%+ D, 60%- F.
  • The statistics of Exam 3: Max 97, Min 56, Mean 79.1, Median 78, 90+ 4, 80+ 5, 70+ 8, 60+ 2, 60- 1. Grades are available to be checked. Solution and point distribution can be found in "exam information" column.
  • The final version of the syllabus is available. 80% of exam 3 will come from the homework and quizzes (with slight changes).

  • Exam 1 covers Chapter 1-5. 70% will come from homework and quizzes (almost the same). You are allowed to bring an A4 paper with formulas and equations to the exam. The calculator is also allowed.
  • Grades for Quiz 4 are available.
  • There is a free tutor session at MATH0305 from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm Monday through Friday.

Quiz Information

  • 12 quizzes will be given during the semester. Each quiz has 10 points. The lowest 2 scores will be dropped. Thus, the total weight of quizzes is 100 points. Each quiz has 1 question and 10-15 minutes to finish.

Homework Information

  • Homework assignment problems can be found here. I will not collect the homework. It is highly RECOMMENDED for you to finish these assignments. Quizzes and exams are based on these problems.

Exam Information

  • There are three exams during the semester. Each exam counts for 100 points. Thus, the total weight of the exams is 300 points.

Grading Information

  • Your grade will be based on the following 400 points:
  • 300 points » 3 exams at 100 points each
  • 100 points » 12 quizzes at 10 points each, lowest two dropped
  • The final grades will be given by A(360+), B(320+), C(280+), D(240+), F(239-), with NO curve or adjustment.
